L&T is extending their environmental management services to the city of Sergiev Posad located in the Moscow region in May. L&T has signed an agreement with Sergiev Posad to cover the city’s environmental management. In the starting phase, operations will focus on waste collection, transport and recycling.
– Environmental issues are gaining importance in Russia as well. Environmental management requires significant investments, experience and expertise. L&T’s environmental management company has been operating in Dubna in the Moscow Province since 2005 and targets to gradually expand their operations in the region. Start of business in Sergiev Posad located about 70 km northeast of Moscow is an important step forward in this direction.
L&T is targeting to increase their operations in the countries in the Baltic Sea region and further into Russia by way of organic growth as well as company acquisitions.
